Dear Sir
Please find enclosed a copy of a letter that I have written to
the Committee on Standards in Public Life.
I have received a reply from that Committee that, amongst other
things, suggests that I write, initially, to your Department to
deal with matters.
I can do no better than to ask you to consider the terms of the
enclosed letter and let me have a considered response in
relation to the issues raised.
I remain somewhat surprised that the Committee on Standards in
Public Life does not consider that this is a matter that would
come under its remit.
This has resulted in some unfortunate delay in my being
able to pursue these enquiries and it is in those circumstances
that I would ask you to consider matters at your earliest
convenience and respond to me as quickly as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in anticipation
of your kind attention.
Yours faithfully
Dennis A. Clarke
